Our Mission

PIAG MUSEUM is dedicated to educate, plan, organize, promote and showcase the visual arts in all its forms and manifestations throughout our community in Florida, Nationwide and Worldwide.
Art is an important tool to provide opportunities for self-expression. We believe that art is a fundamental element in any healthy society , this is why we put an enormous amount of effort in creating outreach programs that will touch the lives of many.

This concept motivates PIAG Museum to provide art education to the community through different programs and art exhibitions for the enjoyment of the artist and the public in general. Today we are proud to say, our mission and our goals have taken us to places, to people, to communities that have welcomed our knowledge, our services and our love for art with opened arms.

Activities

Activities offered by the Museum

There is evidence that engagement with artistic activities, whether as an observer or a creator, enhances one's moods and emotions, along with benefiting one’s psychological, psychosocial and physiological state. This is why PIAG puts an enormous amount of effort in creating outreach programs that will touch the lives of many.
We are absolutely committed to conceptualize art projects with the means to involve participants including both active and passive audiences (art providers and art recipients).
Our Activities are:
Earth & Water

We have many innovative art projects, the latest one among so many we have and that has been very successful and also unique is the “Earth & Water Project”.

Paint & Plant

Knowing the importance of learning how to love, to protect and to take care of our planet, we are also aiming to create awareness with this project. Participants will paint on a terracota pot and bring home their art with a small plant inside.

Art Exhibitions

Art must be experienced in person to truly get a sense of its magnitude and to truly appreciate it. What a better way to expose the artist work and for the public to appreciate it than with Art exhibitions.

Art Workshops

Art is an important tool to provide opportunities for self-expression. In the Art education we have art workshops at schools for the youth, community events art activities, and art classes for the adults.

PIAG MUSEUM

Earth & Water Project

Enviromental Art a Big Sucess!

In this specific project adults & kids use art eco cubes to express the importance of maintaining plants, animals, water and the environment in general and also portray our beautiful nature. The Eco cubes can be painted, sculpted and use it as the main tool to express a message with a positive and educational twist. We are committed to bring projects to the community that bring awareness and to encourage changes to protect our environment.

The Piag Museum presented a unique art exhibition in the form of Floating Cubes. Under an environment al theme, this exhibit now has hundred cubes designed by various painters, poets, sculptors, photographers and also children and youth. Each cube has a unique message related to the conservation of our planet. On January, March & April 2009 participating children artists simultaneously placed their artwork in the schools pond as part of a ceremony dedicated to our planet.

"The event was also presented earlier this year at the Plaza Cascade of The Miami-Dade Cultural Center, Pelican Island and St. Thomas University, this exhibit will travel to over 30 cities, also Public Schools fand Universities from Miami Dade County and participants will be recognized for their efforts.

"It was free of cost for the public and included a complementary brunch and live music. The Mobile Gallery of The Piag Museum, a bus which carries art work inside and travels throughout Miami-Dade County, was also brought to the event so the public could have an opportunity to look at the pieces that hang inside. The Floating Cubes exhibited is one of the various events the Art programs organizes in which the community has an opportunity to participate and learn about art and students get hands-on experience in organizing art events through creative.

Art must be experienced in person to truly get a sense of its magnitude and to truly appreciate it. What a better way to expose the artist work and for the public to appreciate it than with Art exhibitions. Many artist are rejected in art galleries because they do not have an extensive curriculum. Piag Museum gives opportunity to artists of all ages to showcase their work considering more their talent, creativity and quality of art work rather than his resume. We will continue to do Art exhibitions and also floating art exhibitions for the enjoyment of the young and old.
