PIAG MUSEUM EXHIBITION AT FAIRCHILD TROPICAL BOTANIC GARDEN
 "17th International Mango Festival”


PIAG Museum announces a call to artists to participate in the "17th International Mango Festival” at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden. This is a floating exhibition to take place from June 26th thru August 31st, 2009. Artists must use the mango theme as the main idea for the creation of the art. Using mango biodiversity as their subject matter local artists will create cubes to float on one of the lakes.

The exhibition is not juried and open to all artists 18 years of age or older.

Deadline for delivery of completed cubes is Saturday,

06/20/09 from 1 to 4 p.m.

DATES: The exhibition will take place at Fairchild Tropical Botanic Garden and will run from June 26th thru August 31st, 2009

ENTRIES:  Entries are to be created on cubes produced specially for the floating exhibit. Only original work will be admitted, no photography, manipulated photos, prints or reproductions are eligible for this show. We retain the right to exclude or remove work that does not conform to the quality level of this event. The subject matter for all work will be MANGOS.

ENTRY FEE:  A non-refundable Entry Fee must accompany your registration. Please make check payable to PIAG MUSEUM.

DELIVERY SCHEDULE: Participating artists are requested to deliver their work on Saturday, June 20th between 1 pm and 4 pm to PIAG museum located at 2724 Ponce de Leon Blvd. Coral Gables, FL 33134. The telephone at the museum is 305-443-0770

Pick up date and time is Saturday, September 5th between 1 pm and 4 pm. If someone other than yourself is to pick up your work a written authorization should be presented.

CONDITIONS: While all reasonable care will be taken, PIAG museum is not responsible for accidents or damage to your works or you. Participating artists accept all responsibility for receipt, damages, and loss.
