Besides reaching out to children and adults with art classes Mireya Power the Director of the museum thought that it will be a great idea to be able to bring paintings and sculptures to the participants in order to experience in full and learn about the different art forms and techniques.
The image of a mobile Museum was in her mind. Mireya and the vice president of the museum Martha Salas explained commissioner Joe A. Martinez that a mobile museum would be great for the community through Mr. Martinez, Miami Dade transit department donated a bus. Thanks Mr. Joe A. Martinez !
None of this would have been possible without your help and the help of Mrs. Esther Abolila, Mr. Rene Diaz and District 11 office.

THE PIAG MUSEUM ON WHEELS is a new way to create relationships between museums and their audience, in accordance to the changes that have characterized the XXI century. As a foundation centers itself in the paradigm of construction and transmission of knowledge which finds its groundwork in the active participation of the people towards the development and appreciation of arts. It's goal is to further communication and aesthetic education and reorientation of the processes of self worth and valorization of beauty in the postmodernist dimension, recognizing the heritage of the classic and the old, but generating offerings that are sensitive to the feelings of the new generations.

It is a new cultural scenario that finds it ways through new social spaces, bringing the new creating processes to the masses, as a cultural endeavor, not merely a surplus. In this fashion, we bring the museum to the people, as our contribution to the consolidation of a new lifestyle, that breaks away from the routine and conventional, mechanical postures.

Piag Museum on Wheels is born fully assuming the challenge of better serving its customers, opening spaces for reflection, being conceived as a tool for social and individual transformation, as well as a springboard for enhancing cultural knowledge.

It's goal is to impart artistic knowledge, through direct contact with the art work and Its creators, curators, historians, researchers, and photographers among others; these will be on hand to assist the visitors within the environment of the exposition. It proposes to further the communitarian participation in the museum's activities, as a means to achieve unity in the sphere of genuine love for art, and inter-American fellowship, that is in accord with the universality of humanity.
